isaac likes to chew on everything, including my fingers. this is absolutely no big deal to me; i just end up getting slobber all over my arm. yesterday he chewed on my hand all day long (no worries, i wash and rinse well). tonight i was on the phone with my mom, and he is chewing away on my finger when, all of a sudden, ouch!!!! sometime today isaac's first tooth broke through. i can't really see it (partially because he won't let me), but i sure can feel it! he is growing up too fast:(((( but i am really excited to see that toothy grin!!!!

God has a way of getting my attention
Sunday night David had left for work and Isaac was asleep. I found myself all alone with nothing to do...and being a new mom, that is rare! I began to pray, and in my confession to Jesus I realized that I had not passionately pursued my relationship with Him; it had not been my #1 priority. This just at the time that I need to be completely abandoned to Christ, not just for myself but also to teach my son how to love Him! I began to pour out my heart to God, and I began to realize that the other things I once had passion for had also diminished. And so I prayed...God, please don't let your calling on my life be over because I have chosen to be lackadaisical. Please ignite the passion for You in my heart and along with it, my passion to see others know You! Lord, open a door for me to reach others for you. Funny how God works sometimes. The very next day my dad called to tell me that our school's international missions trip in April would be to Kenya. I asked him how that had come about as we had previously been planning to go to Trinidad. The gentleman who is in charge of moving the school this summer (we have a new building) was driving a speaker from his church somewhere, and he felt like he needed to introduce him to my dad. He was a pastor from Kenya, and when he met my dad his spirit connected with my dad's spirit, and he asked him if he could come to headline a conference in April, along with my mom and me. Wow! Then, he shared that he was interested in eventually opening two orphanages and a Christian school...and he is interested in me helping with the school! I don't know what the future may hold as far as the school is concerned, but I do know that Jesus heard the cry of His child, and He was faithful to answer! Would you please keep David and me in your prayers concerning this situation? And know that God is faithful...even when we are not (even when I am not).
